AHS Blood Drive

Arrowhead High School
Blood Drive

Last year, Lieutenant Brian Murphy’s life was changed forever when he came face-to-face with a gunman at a place of worship in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Murphy, the first officer on the scene, sustained twelve bullet wounds but survived his injuries. While he is regarded as a hero both locally and nationally, Lt. Murphy believes that blood donors are the true heroes. “They save lives every day,” he said. “They saved mine.”

Lieutenant Murphy encourages you to donate blood – especially during the holiday season. “For me”, he said, “there’s a very simple correlation between the word ‘hero’ and the act of donating blood. It’s selfless. It’s going above and beyond to help someone in need. That’s the perfect definition of a hero.

Please honor people like Lieutenant Murphy and participate in our upcoming blood drive.

By donating around the holidays, your gift is especially meaningful because donations often decrease due to inclement weather and holiday activities. A blood donation might be the one gift you give that really matters.
