Help AHS Journalism Students in
"What Makes a Great Teacher" Contest
EnergizeStudents.org is in the middle of a writing contest for high school students. Students were asked to write an essay on their opinion of what makes a great teacher. Today, they selected the top ten essays and five of the essays came from Ms. Jorgensen's journalism class.
Starting on Sunday, the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite essay. First place receives $800, second receives $500 and third receives $300.
Voting opens Sunday May 5, 2013 8:00am PST. You must be registered to vote and may vote up to 3 times per day for your favorite submissions. The voting period will commence May 5-10, 2013. The top 3 essays that receive the most votes will win cash prizes.
The Arrowhead students selected as finalists are Rosie Belson (belsonr), Abbey Buss (abbeybuss), Bri Stemper (Stemper09), Caroline Bong (cbong), and Danielle Chilson (dchilson).
