Summer School 2013 Information
Are
you a student that:
1.
Would
like to repeat a class to earn a higher grade?
2.
Needs to work on earning credits for
graduation?
3.
Wants
to enroll in a course to work ahead?
4.
Is
looking to explore a new subject of interest?
5.
Hopes
to improve their understanding of a subject?
6.
Wants
to brush up their Algebra skills before taking Advanced Algebra in the fall?
The
Arrowhead High School Summer 2013 program has great changes for students:
· Grades
are now for full replacement – students NO longer bump up only one letter grade but full replacement
grades (Example: If you earned a “C” in
Biology sophomore year and you go to summer school and earn an “A”…your “C”
disappears and is replaced by the “A”).
·
Earn
a higher GPA and get a solid base for a course next year.
·
Several
new classes and options are available!
· Online
scheduling continues through June 7 so students may continue to register
conveniently and efficiently
ADDING A COURSE – Although some
courses are full, many options are still available. Check the Arrowhead High School website for
information on how to add a class or see your school counselor for
details.
DROPPING A COURSE
– If
you have changed your mind and wish
to drop a class or the time slot of your class no longer works, please drop the
course so we can fill the spot. You can
do this using the Arrowhead website.
Students will receive an “F” if they drop after the first week of summer
school.
The school
counselors are available to assist students with questions or concerns!
